Established in 2007, Target Radar Solutions Inc. has been the "go to" concrete scanning company in Toronto for new build, renovation projects and post-construction additions requiring concrete cutting, core drilling or excavating. We provide reliable non-destructive testing and concrete imaging using cutting-edge Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and RadioDetection/Flux Scanning equipment to locate and map positions of metallic and non-metallic embedded objects within concrete slab, such as live power conduits, rebar, reinforcing wire mesh, post-tension cables, utility lines and pipes. GPR SPECIALISTS FOR CONCRETE ASSESSMENT Our core expertise—we are considered as the Greater Toronto Area's most experienced and reputable Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) concrete scanners, providing real-time 2D/3D imaging and private utility locates. Target Radar is owned and operated by Derek Codlin. With over 25 years of experience working in the construction industry, Derek is also one of the first technicians in North America to be trained by GSSI, the industry leader in GPR systems. GPR systems use sound waves to detect subsurface objects (instead of harmful gamma-rays emitted by concrete X-ray equipment) allowing us to perform safe, accurate and quick scanning up to 32" depth with an accuracy of +/- 0.25". All located targets are clearly marked out for safe drilling or trenching to follow. We measure slab thickness for both slab-on-grade and suspended slab, map steel rebar depth, rebar pattern and spacing, detect voids and locate pipes within concrete slab. Digital Scan Reports can be sent immediately after scanning for analysis by structural engineers as well for future reference. ENSURE SAFETY & AVOID HAZARDS Specializing in damage prevention with concrete testing and outdoor locates, we are committed to job site safety. We are fully covered with general liability insurance and certified by the WSIB for the protection of our customers. Over the past decade, we have helped to prevent millions of dollars in potential damages by to valuable cutting and sawing equipment, injuries to workers and damage to job sites by effectively locating unseen live power built into concrete slabs.
